And from the East Coast…

Dr. Gridlock posts letter from a cyclist wanting to be able to ride on the GW parkway.   I think it’s a telling shift that while he does give a sentence where he says he goes for safety, but acknowledges the inadequacy of the trails (that are where cyclists are told to go), he then asks for reader opinions.   This is a shift from the usual position drivers hold of, Of Course, Knowing What’s Best For Everybody (especially if once in a while they rode bicycles).  He doesn’t ask questions about crash stats or anything.   I wonder if they might could permit bicycles there during peak times, when speeds are slower.
